The motto of Bernhard Brunmair, alias “bernie-X”, is to make good music. A goal that he pursues systematically, whether as a saxophonist, or as a producer in teamwork with Joshua Grey.

Bernhard Brunmair embarked on his musical journey at the age of twelve and following the completion of studies in Vienna and Linz, made music his profession. Since then he has been involved with music in a variety of styles, as for him alternating between various directions constitutes a major attraction.

Consequently, the Brunmair repertoire ranges from music for the theatre (Threepenny Opera, West Side Story) via the classics, to jazz (including participation in the “Nouvelle Cuisine” big band). In addition, BB has established a reputation as an interpreter of contemporary music (John Cage’s 4’33’’).  

“bernie-X” has now brought the entire range of his musical experience to bear on his activities as a producer of House & Dance tracks. The teamwork with Joshua Grey, one of the most experienced DJs in the Austrian club scene, is of special importance in this regard. Indeed, their first joint single, “Naked in the Rain” with the vocalist Terrie B., made it onto the well-known compilation,“ Fierce Disco III” in the UK!
